Former Pro for the People.

Former Denver Bronco defensive tackle, Antwon Burton, is on a mission. He wants to improve the lives and health of athletes and non-athletes alike here in Pueblo, Colorado.

Burton is originally from Buffalo, New York. He attended Temple University, and eventually played four years in the NFL.

Burton moved to Pueblo seven years ago because as he said, "it's all about my family."

Pueblo is where Burton met his wife Terah so he felt it important to give back to the community.

Burton opened his gym, Next Level Performance, in Eagleridge on Pueblo's north side five months ago.

Burton provides instruction for the next set of workouts during a short break.

Burton said, " My main goal is to help people realize and reach their potential, whether they are 7 or 79."

Local athletes train daily at Burton's gym.

He gives back through philanthropic work throughout the region and recently hosted his first youth football camp at Pueblo West High School.

He trains some of the best athletes in Southern Colorado.

Burton is using his celebrity to bring some notice to the little town he wants to see have more representation in Colorado.

Burton looks on as his clients work.

His company logo features the, Pueblo "sun", because as he says, "This place is known as the armpit of Colorado, if not America. I want to help change that, and show that Pueblo is a great place."
